Civics Assignments for April 20-24

I hope everyone is doing well.

Please respond to your AA teacher's request to contact them each week.

 This week, you have 5 options for assignments.  Two include using Flipgrid where you would go to a website and record a video response to the prompt I provide.

Here are this week's assignments (will be posted on the class OneNote as well):
  1. Current Events Grading Period 6, Current Events #1.  I have uploaded the Current Events paper on email and OneNote.
  2. Read pages 500-517 on Political Parties.  Answer the Assessment on page 517 #1-5.
  3. Read pages 518-527 on the Nomination process.  Answer the Assessment on pages 527 #1-5
  4. Flipgrid #1:  The Primary Election Process - Topic 11 in your textbook addresses the primary election process.  I want you to record a three-minute response on the purpose and how primary elections function in the United States.  Feel free to use other sources.  
  5. Flipgrid #2:  Earth Day and Governments:  The 50th annual celebration of Earth Day will take place on Wednesday, April 22.  I would like for you to research Earth Day and relate how governments in the United States and throughout the world support Earth Day initiatives.  You have the opportunity to record a three-minute response.  


The Flipgrid responses will be on this link.  You will use the link I give you and have to log in using your school email.  You can use this on a computer or download and use the Flipgrid app on your Android or Apple device.
