Project
Work on in class with a partner
February 25-26 and presentation is due Thursday, February 27.
Students are
going to partner with another student choose one of the following individuals
to study and create a PowerPoint using the following criteria to present.

Here is the
criteria:
Naming
PowerPoint: Be sure to follow this
step!!! (20 points)
· One student is to create a PowerPoint
and share it with their partner.
· Name the PowerPoint as “Name of the
Individual Period Number Name 1 Name 2 ”
Example: Thomas 5 Joe Sue
Slide 1
(15 points):
· Name of person studied including
birth and death date (death if applicable)
· Large picture of the person studied
· Names of both individuals working on
the project.
Slide 2: Personal Biography of the person
studied (30 points)
· Early life of the individual
· Include birth, family during youth,
adult family including spouse(s) and children
· Education – high school, college,
etc.
Slide 3: Professional Background of the
person studied (30 points)
· What jobs/careers did the person have
with details
Slide 4: Historical significance (30 points)
· Give detailed historical significance
of the person studied
· What significance does this person
had accomplished as an African American to government/society.
· Be detailed
Slide 5: Works Cited (15 points/5 points
each)
· Minimum three citations from
different sources
· Use MLA Citations – use the following

Present to Class Using PowerPoint:
20 Points – Points deducted if not familiar with material
