Civics Update for March 25 to 29

Current Events - The first half of the alphabet will have Current Events due on Monday.  This is Grading Period 5, CE#3.

Here is the agenda for the week:

Monday:

• New Preamble paper
• Current Events
• Vocabulary Quiz
• Go over chapter study guide

Tuesday:

• Preamble
• Essential Question Quiz
• Work on court cases - remember to work in prosecution and defense teams to write the courtroom script.  Remember to use the iPads.  We will work on this again on Thursday.  
• Make sure chapter packet is complete for Wednesday.

Wednesday:

• Preamble
• Chapter Packet test (just like the last chapter)
• Turn in Chapter packet test and packet

Thursday:

• Early Dismissal day
• Preamble
• Complete chapter packet test if needed
• Work on Court cases (we will likely have one more day to work on this next week)

Friday:

• Preamble (turn in)
• Using the Modern Immigration Debate packet from last week, you will write a 5-paragraph essay in class based on the directions on the packet.  You will do this in class and choose one of the eight topics covered in the debate packet.
