Civics Update for January 14-18

The first half of the alphabet will need to complete their Current Events assignment by Monday.  This will be Grading period 4, Current Events #1.

Monday:

• Current Events
• New Preamble paper
• Read pages 233 to 241 for today's class
• We will complete EQ Notes 8-4: History of the Supreme Court
• Characteristics of a good Supreme Court Justice activity

Tuesday:

• Preamble
• PIPS Quiz
• Crash Course video #20 on the Supreme Court
• Review court cases from yesterday

Wednesday:

• Preamble
• EQ 8-5 Notes:  How are SUPCO Justices selected and how are SUPCO cases selected?

Thursday:

• Preamble
• Supreme Court Justice Background activity
• Start reviewing Chapter 8 Study Guide (Quizlet has a link on the study guide)

• 
  

Friday:

• Turn in Preamble
• Essential Question Quiz.  Questions will be based on any of the Essential Question notes from the chapter.  You will be able to use your notes for the quiz.  

The second half of the alphabet will turn in their Current Events next Tuesday.  There will be no school Monday to commemorate the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.  This will be Grading Period 4, Current Events #2.
