Civics Update for December 10-14

All of the Current Events assignments should have been turned in as of last week.  We will start the new Current Events next semester.

Semester exam study guides are on the table in front of the right whiteboard.

Here is the schedule for the week:

Monday:

• Preamble
• Look at the hierarchy of the federal government
• Research a federal agency and share with other members of the class.
• Read pages 206 to 209 for Tuesday.

Tuesday:

• Preamble
• We are going to review for the PIPS Quiz.  There will be a quiz on Friday.  You can access a PowerPoint on the class OneDrive folder to study and quiz yourself using Quizlet.
• EQ Notes 7-4:  How do we pay for government?  We will look at how government receives revenue.  
• Read pages 210 to 213 for Wednesday.

Wednesday:

• Preamble
• The U.S. Debt Clock.  
• EQ Notes 7-5:  How does the government spend money?

Thursday:

• Preamble
• National Debt versus spending video
• Review for Chapter 7 Test (study guide)

Friday:

• Turn in Preamble
• PIPS Quiz
• Essential Question Quiz - you will be able to use your class notes to complete this quiz
• Chapter 7 Test is on Monday; you will turn in your chapter packet prior to the test
