Civics Update for December 3-7

We are transitioning from Ms. Giles to Mr. Zukowski this week.  There are going to be some different expectations from students as well as the teachers.  The activities will be much different as well.  Remember that we are in December and close to the end of the semester.

Here are the expectations for the week:

Monday:

• Modified schedule due to the wrestling match in the afternoon.  Bring $2 to view the match.
• Current Events 3-2(Grading Period 3, CE#2) for the Second Half of the alphabet will need to be turned in.  
• New Preamble for the week.  Be sure to write the entire question and write complete responses to the prompts.
• If you have to take the semester exam, the exam study guide will be available (it is already in the class OneDrive folder).
• We are going to review the roles of Congress and the Presidency.
• Chapter 7 Vocabulary
• Read pages 190 to 195 for Tuesday.

Tuesday:

• Preamble
• Chapter 7 Study Guide
• Essential Question Notes 7-1 (Introduction to the federal bureaucracy)
• Read pages 196-200 for Wednesday

Wednesday:

• Preamble
• Executive Departments and Independent Agencies
• Essential Question Notes 7-2 
• Read pages 201 to 204 for Thursday.

Thursday:

• Preamble
• Essential Question Notes 7-3 (continue the theme from Wednesday)

Friday: 

• Modified schedule due to one-act plays in the morning.  Bring $1 to watch the plays.
• Turn in Preambles
• Researching specific bureaucratic agencies
