Civics Update for April 9-13

***If you are taking AP Exams in May, you need to attend a meeting on Monday at 8:00 in the library.
***Current Events for the second half of the alphabet is due on Monday.  It is Grading Period 6, Current Events #1.
***Chapter 11 test on Tuesday.  The study guide is on Quizlet and will be deactivated on Tuesday at 7:55 am.
***If you were absent last week, you need to catch up on Monday.
***Last day to register to vote is April 17.  Click this link to register.
***You need to turn in any assignments from the fifth grading period by Wednesday at 8:00 am.
***If you need any materials or signature for English class, see me between classes or before/after the school day.

Here is the agenda for the week:

Monday:

  • Total Recall Question
  • Chapter 11 Packet Review Activity.  You will need your chapter packet and answer two questions for each part in the packet.


Tuesday:

  • Turn in chapter 11 packet.
  • Chapter 11 test will be multiple choice and 4 extended response items on the back of the answer sheet.  
  • Following the test, you will be working on chapter 12 answer sheet.
  • Read pages 356 to 363 for Thursday.


Wednesday:
  • Total Recall Question 
  • Crash Course 36 Election Basics 
  • Thinking Map of the organization of Elections 
Thursday:
  • Total Recall Question 
  • Check for Chapter 12 Vocabulary 
  • Chapter 8-10-11-12 Vocabulary Quiz 
  • Civics 12-1 Questions Activity (this is different from previous notes)
  • Students read pages 369 to 375 for Thursday 

Friday:
  • Total Recall Question Turn in 
  • Crash Course 28 How Voters Decide Video 
  • PIPS Quiz (check Quizlet for study guide)
