Civics Update for February 19-23

***Second half of the alphabet will turn in Current Events on Monday.  This will be Grading Period 5, Current Events #1.
***If you have any assignments to turn in, get them turned in by Monday afternoon.
***Some of you need to present your Sway.  Come in before school, during AA, or after school on Monday.
***If you watched "Heroin(e), please turn in the papers by Friday for credit.


Here is the schedule for this week:


Monday:

• Turn in Total Recall from last week and Religion in Government papers.  There was no Total Recall Question for Friday.
• New Total Recall paper.
• Watch Crash Course 28 on Due Process of Law and take notes on the video
• Study of IRS tax returns and other documents.
• Read pages 289 to 294 for Tuesday

Tuesday:

• Total Recall question
• We will look at the guarantees of and limits of the freedoms of speech, press, assembly, and petition
• Read pages 295 to 301 for Wednesday's Reading Quiz.

Wednesday:

• Total Recall question
• Reading quiz for pages 295 to 301.  Here are the possible questions.
• Discussion of searches, gun rights, Third Amendment, and the Fourth Amendment.
• Read pages 303 to 306 for Thursday.

Thursday:

• Total Recall Question.  Turn in paper
• We will look at civil liberties pertaining to  civil law and criminal law.
• Read pages 306 to 309 for Monday. 

Friday (2 hour delay day):

• Senior activities/SAT for the rest of the school
