Civics Update for week of November 27 to December 1

Welcome back from the Thanksgiving break.  I hope everyone had a great break. 

The first half of the alphabet will be expected to turn in Current Events on Monday.  You received the forms prior to break.

We will start chapter 6 on the Executive Branch this week.  Here is a link to the Quizlet study guide. 

Here is the link to the Semester Exam study guide.  There will be 75 questions pertaining to content and 25 vocabulary terms from chapters 1-7. 

Here is the agenda for the week:

Monday

• If there are any projects that did not present last week, you need to notify Mr. Zukowski at the beginning of the class period.
• Read pages 162-168 prior to class
• Chapter 6 vocabulary will be distributed.  This will be due on Wednesday.
• EQ Notes 6-1:  What are the roles, characteristics, and informal qualifications of the presidency?

Tuesday

• A look at the Twenty-Fifth Amendment and Presidential Succession
• Read pages 169 to 175 for Wednesday.

Wednesday

• Chapter 6 vocabulary will be due.
• EQ Notes 6-2:  What are the formal powers of the presidency? 
• We will log onto Edmodo.com to link an account for the class.   

Thursday

• We will take a look at the Electoral College and its impact on selecting presidents.
• Read pages 175-178 for Friday.

Friday

• Complete Total Recall and turn in.
• We will look at Presidential Powers.
• Vocabulary quiz for chapters 1-6 will take place on Monday.
